  • Codependency Causes Depression--Suppressing Your Emotions Is The Root Cause

Codependency causes depression. When you have been programmed to suppress your feelings, you are not allowing your emotions--which are energy in motion, to flow. If you are the child of a narcissist, you have been brainwashed to suppress your feelings. If you are the child of a codependent, you have been taught that it is appropriate to not express what you really feel. Being conditioned to fear your feelings leads to depression. People who have been taught to suppress their feelings, often times suffer from depression, and this is not their fault. If you have been diagnosed with depression, I encourage to investigate whether or not you present with the symptoms of codependency. Depression is caused for many reasons. When depression is related to being codependent, the issue (in my...

Also, it can result in physical manifestations like chronic pain, migraines, anxiety, ulcers, and other forms of sufferings. In addition, repressing these negative emotions lowers your vibrational frequency. Therefore, understanding that emotions represent a physical reality within you will accelerate the healing process. According to a study conducted by psychologists at Harvard School of Public Health and the University of Rochester, suppressing emotions may increase the risk of dying from heart disease and certain types of cancer. In fact, by suppressing those feelings of frustration, anger, anxiety, sadness, and so on, you are basically admitting to yourself that you feel guilt over having those negative emotions. More importantly, when you try to suppress an emotion, you lose all sorts of valuable data about your experience of that emotion, that makes learning from the experience more guesswork than it needs to be. It is believed that the root cause of all emotional issues lies in the subconscious mind, and one of the fastest and most effective methods to access the subconscious mind is through meditation. Meditation allows you to become mindful of your thoughts and feelings, gaining power over them, hence, freeing yourself to work toward your highest potential, pursue what you truly aspire to in life and become the person you want to be. When you suppress your emotions, they don't go away, actually, they go deeper! Rather than absolving and dissipating the negative emotional energy, we hold onto it unconsciously. These suppressed emotions remain buried within us until we bring that emotion up and feel the emotion, hence, releasing it. Suppressed emotions which are buried on the long-term are the emotions that normally cause physical illness. Here are 11 signs of suppressed emotions that you can identify: #1 Exhaustion - With long-term exposure to suppressed emotions, the body starts to lose the capacity to combat the stressor and to lower its harmful impact, thus, the adaptive energy is drained. It leads to “stress overload” or “burnout,” the creation of a milieu in which the individual is vulnerable to health problems. #2 Research has also shown a connection between suppressed emotions and poor memory as well as more misunderstandings in conversations with others. This is because people who regularly suppress their emotions are usually less aware of the signals they are sending to others and the social cues present in daily conversation. #3 Weight Gain - Recent studies not only show that chronic emotional stress increases people's cortisol levels, but it also disrupts the body's natural cortisol rhythm. This ruptured cortisol rhythm can lead to a reduced ability to burn fat and high blood sugar. #4 Sleep Problems - Sleep disturbances, including - insomnia, tossing and turning, and restless dreams can be an early sign of suppressed emotions. Your brain is trying to understand the details of the psychological problem which you are dealing with, however, you are forcing it to do so without your help. #5 Gut Health - Research shows that ongoing emotional stress can negatively affect the trillions of healthy bacteria in your large intestine, and subpar gut health can have a depressing effect on your entire mental and physical system. #6 Memory Problems - When you suppress an emotion, you have problems remembering not just the event but also the time period and events surrounding it. #7 Cardiovascular Disease - Although the connection between emotional stress and heart disease isn’t clear, regularly suppressing emotions may cause some people to drink too much alcohol that can increase your blood pressure and may damage the artery walls. #8 Depression - If your emotions weren’t allowed to leak out, somehow they may turn into depression. Therefore, whenever you feel bad try to do anything to release your emotions instead of suppressing them not to end up depressed. #9 Digestive problems - One of the recent theories suggests that we can develop chronic inflammation when we’re under prolonged emotional stress. This is thought to happen because chronic stress alters the way our cells respond to cortisol. #10 Low Motivation - Lack of motivation and enthusiasm can show up everywhere, at work, at home, in relationships, in pursuing goals and in everything else. This usually creates unhappiness, indifference, and dissatisfaction. #11 Aggression - Researchers from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Minnesota believe people who usually keep their emotions bottled up — not reacting to a difficult boss at work, for instance — are more likely to act aggressively afterward — say, by yelling at their children. Thank you. This was our video about suppressing emotions, suppressed anger, suppression psychology, suppressed feelings, suppressed depression, or suppressed anger symptoms. Lyme disease is an illness that’s caused by bacteria carried by infected ticks. If you’ve been bitten by a tick and show any of the early symptoms of Lyme disease, you should see your doctor. Lyme disease has three stages: Early localized Early disseminated Late Early-localized stage Lyme disease Typically, a large, raised, red spot (erythema migrans) appears at the site of the bite, usually on the thigh, buttock, or trunk or in the armpit. The spot usually disappears after about 3 to 4 weeks. About 25% of infected people never develop—or at least never notice—the characteristic red spot. Early-disseminated stage Lyme disease This stage begins when the bacteria spread through the body. Fatigue, chills, fever, headaches, stiff neck, muscle aches, and painful, swollen joints are common. In nearly half of people who are not treated, more, usually smaller erythema migrans spots appear on other parts of the body.People have a backache, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, and an enlarged spleen. The nervous system is affected in about 15% of people. Common problems are meningitis and Bell palsy. About 8% of infected people have irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) and inflammation of heart tissue (myocarditis) and the sac around the heart (pericarditis) with chest pain. Irregular heartbeats may cause palpitations, light-headedness, or fainting. Late stage Lyme disease If the initial infection is untreated, other problems develop months to years later. Arthritis develops in more than half of people, usually within several months. Swelling and pain typically recur in a few large joints, especially the knee, for several years. Cysts may develop and rupture behind the knees, suddenly increasing the pain. A few people develop abnormalities related to brain and nerve malfunction. Mood, speech, memory, and sleep may be affected. Help us caption & translate this video! http://amara.org/v/Mwea/

When depression is related to being codependent, the issue (in my humble opinion) is one that is caused by suppressing or depressing ones emotions. When we suppress our emotions, we are essentially depressing our nervous, and system. The nervous system represents the material pathways our invisible energy travels through. Our Chakra system is comprised of energy centers. When we suppress our emotions, our energy gets blocked in various Chakra centers. And when we suppress our emotions, we suffer a depression of our Central Nervous Center--the brain. This video has been created to help anyone who is feeling guilty, ashamed, angry or even more depressed because they are depressed. Dear one, if you are codependent then you have been brainwashed (programmed) to believe your emotions do not matter--and so you may have lived a life suppressing them unconsciously or mildly conscious of suppressing them. As teens and adults you may have experienced great depression. This makes sense dear one. Please know YOU'RE NOT CRAZY for being depressed if you were raised to be codependent, and worried more about what others thought and felt than what you thought and felt. The way out is not complicated, but that does not mean it is an easy way out. Expression + Action = Depressed No More. Just as Suppression + No Action = Depression, expressing your feelings combined with actions in the form of boundaries will allow you to back yourself out of the hell hole you have been shoved into throughout your lifetime--courtesy of your codependent upbringing, and unconscious thought patterns as an adult. I am hoping this video--inspires you to NEVER GIVE UP on believing YOU CAN CREATE AN ABUNDANT REALITY FOR YOURSELF--by mastering your mind!!!! Lisa A. Romano is a Breakthrough Life Coach who specializes in helping people heal their childhood programming. If you have been raised by alcoholics, narcissists, or if you are struggling with codependency, and have been attracting narcissists into your life these videos will help you unravel the dysfunctional beliefs that are holding you back. Children of narcissistic parents, who are now suffering from codependency symptoms, may be struggling to learn how to love themselves after narcissistic abuse. Narcissists tend to attract people pleasers or codependent personalities. Because codependents are eager to please, because they seek outside validation, they are easy targets for narcissistic lovers, and friends. It is not easy to learn how to love yourself after narcissistic abuse, but with the right codependency recovery tools, it is possible. It is even possible to find love after codependency. Lisa A. Step 1: Look for a bump or rash Look for a small red bump at the site of a tick bite within a few days to a month of being bitten. The bump will be followed by a bull's eye-shaped rash with a red center surrounded by a clear area and outer ring. Step 2: Watch for flu-like symptoms Be on the alert for flu-like symptoms, such as chills, fever, fatigue, body aches, and headaches accompanying the rash. Tip Less common symptoms that may show up several weeks after an infection include eye inflammation, hepatitis, and severe fatigue. Some people have also experienced short-term heart problems such as an irregular heart beat. Step 3: Watch for joint pain and swelling Look for bouts of joint pain and swelling. These may show up several weeks to months after an infection if it is not treated. Step 4: Watch for more serious complications Watch for more serious complications that may show up weeks, months, or even years after an infection if it is not treated. These complications may include meningitis, numbness or weakness in your limbs, and impaired muscle movement. Step 5: See a doctor See a doctor if you suspect you may have Lyme disease. Blood tests are not always necessary to diagnose the disease and your doctor can start you on an antibiotic regimen. Did You Know? Lyme disease was first identified in Lyme, Connecticut, in 1975.

I explain how a series of studies on "White Bears" conducted my Daniel Wegner in the late 80's and 90's actually show how thought suppression actually increases the frequency and intensity of thoughts. This is video 2 of a 3 part series. In video number 3 I am actually going to introduce some strategies for quieting down the mind.

In this video, I share my symptoms of chronic Lyme disease and how I finally got a diagnosis. I hope you found it helpful, whether you're struggling with a mystery illness or are just curious about Lyme symptoms. This ended up being a lot longer than I anticipated, but hopefully you gained something from it! To my invisible illness peeps- you're not alone. I forgot to mention that, when people with Lyme start taking antibiotics, a lot of their symptoms get worse in the beginning (either that or they feel better). That's why I really "crashed" with my symptoms when I first started taking the antibiotics I talked about. *RESOURCES* ART Testing: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/01/09/the-absolute-best-muscle-testing-system-i-know-of.aspx Biomagnetism: https://innovativemedicine.com/biomagnetic-therapy/ "Why Can't I Get Better?" Studies are proving the link between depression, anxiety, and women. If you have been diagnosed with depression or anxiety, you may wish to explore codependency as well. Depression, anxiety and panic disorders may by symptoms of codependency. If you are codependent you do not believe you are not enough. When this is your base emotional frequency you cannot attract happiness. Being codependent makes us very susceptible to depression, anxiety and panic disorder. According to research, depression may be a symptom of codependency. Anxiety--may be a symptom of this more widely unappreciated dis-ease known as codependency, although most people are not making that link. In this video I will be discussing the link between codependency and anxiety. It is my hope that you appreciate the importance of doing your own homework. Understanding codependency and codependency issues is crucial to your emotional recovery. What is codependency? Co-dependency is the result of childhood programming or brainwashing, which is rooted in a lack of self love--and a lack of self worth. Why? When you are taught that your feelings do not matter--the message received is "I Am Not enough." This one idea infests the way we see ourselves and others. Learning all you can about how to increase your own sense of self esteem, helps you clearly learn how to take control over your life. Anxiety and Depression, Symptoms of codependency, how to heal anxiety, depression and anxiety, how to heal depression, depression recovery, anxiety recovery, healing from anxiety, dealing with anxiety and depression. Skin cancer There are three major types of skin cancers: basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and melanoma. The first two skin cancers are grouped together as non-melanoma skin cancers. Symptoms of skin cancer (non-melanoma) Basal cell carcinoma Squamous cell carcinoma Bowen's disease symptoms of melanoma The ABCDE rule : it is another guide to the usual signs of melanoma. A is for Asymmetry: One half of a mole or birthmark does not match the other. • B is for Border: The edges are irregular, ragged, notched, or blurred. • C is for Color: The color is not the same all over and may include shades of brown or black, or sometimes with patches of pink, red, white, or blue. • D is for Diameter: The spot is larger than 6 millimeters across, although melanomas can sometimes be smaller than this. • E is for Evolving: The mole is changing in size, shape, or color. Some melanomas do not fit the rules described above Other warning signs are: • A sore that does not heal • Spread of pigment from the border of a spot into surrounding skin • Redness or a new swelling beyond the border • itchiness, tenderness, or pain • Change in the surface of a mole – scaliness, oozing, bleeding, Causes of skin cancer Most skin cancer is caused by ultraviolet (UV) light damaging the DNA in skin cells. The main source of UV light is sunlight. types of UV light: • ultraviolet A (UVA) • ultraviolet B (UVB) • ultraviolet C (UVC) Increased risk Certain factors are believed to increase chances of developing skin cancer, including: • pale skin that does not tan easily • blonde hair • blue eyes • older age • a large number of moles • a large number of freckles • a condition that suppresses your immune system, such as HIV • past History of skin cancer • skin cancer in the family • radiation exposure • A weak immune system • Human papilloma virus (HPV) Exposure to Chemicals like • Coal tar • Soot • Pitch • Creosote • Petroleum products, such as mineral oil or motor oil • Shale oils • Arsenic Other skin conditions Psoriasis Solar keratosis Xeroderma pigmentosum Gorlin’s syndrome Birthmarks some types of birthmark in the outer layer of skin can increase the risk of developing a type of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma (BCC). Diagnosis Medical history and physical exam Usually the first step the doctor takes is to get a medical history. During the physical exam, your doctor will note the size, shape, color, and texture of the area(s) in question, and whether they are bleeding, oozing, or crusting. Skin biopsy If the doctor thinks a spot might be a melanoma, a sample of skin will be removed from the suspicious area and sent to a lab to be looked at under a microscope. This is called a skin biopsy. Shave biopsy Punch biopsy Incisional and excisional biopsies Fine needle aspiration biopsy Surgical lymph node biopsy Sentinel lymph node biopsy Chest x-ray This test may be done to help determine whether melanoma has spread to the lungs. Computed tomography (CT) scan The CT scan uses x-rays to make detailed, cross-sectional images of your body. Unlike a regular x-ray, CT scans can show the detail in soft tissues (such as internal organs). CT-guided needle biopsy: CT scans can also be used to help guide a biopsy needle into a suspicious area within the body. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan Like CT scans, MRI scans give detailed images of soft tissues in the body. But MRI scans use radio waves and strong magnets instead of x-rays to create pictures. A contrast material might be injected, just as with CT scans, Positron emission tomography (PET) scan A PET scan can help show if the cancer has spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body. It is most useful in people with more advanced stages of cancer Blood tests Blood tests aren’t used to diagnose melanoma, but some tests may be done before or during treatment, especially for more advanced melanomas.

Types of seizures, symptoms, pathology (mechanism) of epilepsy, causes and treatments. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Epilepsy is a group of neurological diseases characterized by recurrent seizures. Seizures happen as a result of a sudden surge in the brain’s electrical activities. Depending on which part of the brain is affected, a seizure may manifest as loss of awareness, unusual behaviors or sensations, uncontrollable movements or loss of consciousness. The brain is a complex network of billions of neurons. Neurons can be excitatory or inhibitory. Excitatory neurons stimulate others to fire action potentials and transmit electrical messages, while inhibitory neurons SUPPRESS this process, preventing EXCESSIVE firing. A balance between excitation and inhibition is essential for normal brain functions. In epilepsy, there is an UP-regulation of excitation and/or DOWN-regulation of inhibition, causing lots of neurons to fire SYNCHRONOUSLY at the same time. If this abnormal electrical surge happens within a limited area of the brain, it causes PARTIAL or FOCAL seizures. If the entire brain is involved, GENERALIZED seizures will result. Partial seizures subdivide further to: - Simple partial: - Complex partial Generalized seizures subdivide further to: - Absence seizures: - Tonic seizures - Atonic seizures, drop attacks - Clonic seizures - Myoclonic seizures - The most common and also most dramatic are tonic-clonic seizures, also known as convulsive seizures, which are combinations of muscle stiffening and jerking. This type is what most people relate to when they think of a seizure. It also involves sudden loss of consciousness and sometimes loss of bladder control. A tonic-clonic seizure that lasts longer than 5min requires immediate medical treatment. Epilepsy may develop as a result of a brain injury, tumor, stroke, previous infection or a birth defect. Generalized seizures that start in childhood are likely to involve genetic factors. Epilepsy due to a single gene mutation is rare. More often, an interaction of multiple genes and environmental factors is responsible. Hundreds genes have been implicated. Examples include genes encoding for GABA receptors – major components of the inhibitory circuit, and ion channels. Many genetic disorders that cause brain abnormalities or metabolic conditions have epilepsy as a primary symptom. The cause of epilepsy is unknown in about half of cases. Diagnosis is based on observation of symptoms, medical history, and an electroencephalogram, or EEG, to look for abnormal brain waves. An EEG may also help in differentiating between partial and generalized seizures. Genetic testing maybe helpful when genetic factors are suspected. There is no cure for epilepsy but various treatments are available to control seizures. Medication successfully controls seizures for about 70% of cases. Many anti-epileptic drugs are available which target sodium channels, GABA receptors, and other components involved in neuronal transmission. Different medicines help with different types of seizures. Patients may need to try several drugs to find the most suitable. Dietary therapy: ketogenic diet has been shown to reduce or prevent seizures in many children whose seizures could not be controlled with medication. Ketogenic diet is a special high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that must be prescribed and followed strictly. With this diet, the body uses fat as the major source of energy instead of carbohydrates. The reason why this helps control epilepsy is unclear. Nerve stimulation therapies such as vagus nerve stimulation in which a device placed under the skin is programmed to stimulate the vagus nerve at a certain rate. The device acts as a pacemaker for the brain. The underlying mechanism is poorly understood but it has been shown to reduce seizures significantly. Finally, a surgery may be performed to remove part of the brain that causes seizure. This is usually done when tests show that seizures are originated from a small area that does not have any vital function.

Arthritis in the hands comes in two forms: Osteoarthritis (OA) Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) As long as no irreversible damage has happened to the joint(s), both OA and RA are 100% reversible. Your doctors don't believe that (for some mind-boggling crazy reason), but they should. When doctors tell you your arthritis is due to 'age', that's a clear sign that they aren't going to have any solutions for you. And the $40+ billion in annual sales anti-arthritic drug industry doesn't cure arthritis in the hands...at best it supresses the symptoms. Some people think that getting rid of the problem is far better than taking drugs for the rest of one's life that just minimize the symptoms. Both kinds of arthritis show up for specific reasons. Reverse those reasons and the hand arthritis goes away. Find Our More At www.TendonitisExpert.com/arthritis-in-hands.html
